Los Angeles Rams started in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams and were named 'Rams' as player-coach-general manager Damon Wetzel's favourite college football team was the Fordham (University) Rams. They remained in Cleveland, having suspended operations in 1943, until 1946 when they relocated to Los Angeles. They would relocate to St.Louis in 1995 before returning to Los Angeles in 2016.
They won their sole Super Bowl with Super Bowl XXXIV for the 1999 season but have appeared in 4 (XIV,XXXVI and LIII), having previously won NFL Championships in 1945 and 1951.
