SEASONS
1969 Season
This was the 10th season of the American Football League and the final season before the league merged with the NFL. To honour the season, a special anniversary, the Kansas City Chiefs wore a special patch on their jersey during Super Bowl IV, the 4th and final AFL-NFL World Championship Game prior to the AFL–NFL merger.

The AFL introduced a 4-team playoff with the second place teams qualifying for the playoffs. Boston Patriots moved from Fenway Park to Alumni Stadium.
