The Playoffs featured the Championship Game between the Division Champions. If there was a tie between any teams, then a Playoff Game was played which happened in 1963 (Eastern Division) and 1968 (Western Division). The AFL Championship Game winner played in the Super Bowl before being renamed the American Football Conference Championship Game in 1970.
