Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks

Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks were formed in 1991 as a founding member of the World League of American Football but posted a disappointing 0-10 record and were replaced by the Ohio Glory for the 1992 season.
Their name was inspired by the Wright Brothers' flights on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and their logo included three jet-trails and three planes that represent the three points of the Research Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill).
