THE BLIND SIDE (2009)
This film was released in 2009 and stars Sandra Bullock and is based on the 2006 book called The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis.
The film features Michael Oher, an offensive lineman who was eventually drafted by the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL in 2009.
It focuses on Oher's impoverished upbringing, through his years at Wingate Christian School (fictional represensation of Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis, TN), his adoption by Sean (Tim McGraw) and Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock), becoming one of the most highly regarded college football players and finally being a 1st round pick of the Ravens in 2009.
